How YardLink collects, uses, and protects your information.
Information We Collect
Account & Identity
- Full name and email address
- Phone number (used for SMS verification and notifications)
- Password (stored encrypted; never visible to YardLink)
- Profile photo or business logo
- Business name, tagline, and website (Landscapers)
Property & Location
- Client service address (street address required — not approximate location)
- Landscaper service area and coverage radius
- GPS/location data for routing and scheduling (Landscapers, if enabled)
- Property details: size, grass type, cut height preference, special notes
Payment & Billing
- Subscription billing handled by Apple In-App Purchases (Landscapers)
- Client payment details handled entirely by Stripe — YardLink never stores card numbers
- Billing status, subscription tier, transaction identifiers from Stripe
- Invoice history and payout records
- QuickBooks sync data (if integration is enabled)
Service & Job Data
- Service catalog, pricing, and add-ons created by Landscapers
- Job schedules, completion records, and service history
- Before/after job photos uploaded by Landscapers
- Client property photos uploaded during onboarding
- Notes left by Landscapers or Clients regarding jobs
- Custom invoices and quote requests
Communications
- In-app messages between Clients and Landscapers
- Push notification preferences and tokens (via Firebase)
- SMS notification opt-in status (via Twilio)
- Email communication history (via SendGrid)
- Support inquiries and correspondence
Device & Technical Data
- Device type, operating system, and app version
- IP address
- Login timestamps, session activity, and device identifiers

Business Documents (Optional)
Landscapers may optionally upload business-related documents such as insurance certificates or licensing credentials. These are stored securely and are only accessible by the account holder and YardLink administrators.
How We Use Your Information
- Provide and operate platform features including scheduling, routing, messaging, invoicing, and in-app payments
- Match Clients with Landscapers via the public directory and search features
- Process and verify subscription payments through Apple In-App Purchases
- Facilitate Client-to-Landscaper payments and collect the 2% platform fee via Stripe Connect
- Sync financial records with QuickBooks (if the integration is enabled by the Landscaper)
- Send job reminders, confirmations, and completion alerts via push, SMS, or email
- Enable two-factor authentication and account security verification
- Provide Landscapers with business analytics, revenue reports, and performance data (Pro Plan)
- Enable admin oversight, support assistance, and account management
- Comply with Apple App Store, Stripe, and applicable legal requirements
- Improve platform performance, fix bugs, and develop new features
Third-Party Services & Data Sharing
We share data with trusted third-party service providers only as necessary to operate the platform. We do not sell your data.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party for advertising or marketing purposes — ever.
Data Shared Between Users
As a two-sided platform, some data is intentionally shared between users to enable the service:
- Clients assigned to a Landscaper have their service address, property details, preferences, and notes visible to that Landscaper
- Landscapers listed in the public directory have their business name, service area, logo, services, and ratings visible to all Clients
- Job photos (before/after) uploaded by the Landscaper are visible to the assigned Client
- In-app messages between a Client and Landscaper are visible to both parties and to YardLink administrators for support purposes
- Reviews and ratings submitted by Clients are publicly visible on the Landscaper’s profile
Data Retention & Security
- We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as required by law
- Subscription and payment records may be retained for up to 7 years for financial compliance
- You may request full account and data deletion at any time by contacting support@yardlinkapp.com
- All data is stored on a private Hostinger VPS with access controls ensuring users can only access their own data
- All connections use SSL/TLS encryption in transit
- Payment data is PCI-DSS compliant via Stripe — no card numbers are stored on YardLink servers
- Administrative access to user data is logged and restricted to authorized YardLink staff
- API keys, credentials, and secrets are stored in encrypted environment variables and never exposed client-side
Your Rights & Choices
- Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Correction: Update or correct inaccurate information through app settings or by contacting us
- Deletion: Request account and data deletion at any time
- Opt-out of marketing: Unsubscribe from promotional emails at any time via the unsubscribe link or app settings
- Push notification control: Enable or disable push notifications through your device settings
- SMS opt-out: Reply STOP to any SMS to opt out of text notifications
- Location control: Deny location permissions in your device settings (this may limit routing and discovery features)
- QuickBooks disconnect: Disable the QuickBooks integration at any time through the app settings to stop data syncing
International Users
YardLink is currently operated from the United States and is primarily intended for U.S. users. We are expanding services to Australia and other regions. If you are located outside the United States, please be aware that your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States.
Australian users: We are committed to complying with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). Australian users have the right to access, correct, and request deletion of their personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@yardlinkapp.com.
Children’s Privacy
YardLink is intended for users aged 16 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors under 16. If we become aware that a minor has provided personal information, we will promptly delete it.
Policy Updates
We may revise this Privacy Policy at any time. We will notify users of material changes via in-app notification or email. The latest version is always accessible within the app and on our website. Continued use of YardLink after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
